Beak Adaptations in the Park

Join Marine CSI, 3 Pines Project, and Pender Parks and Recreation as we explore coastal bird beak adaptations at our community event at Hampstead Kiwanis Park Small Picnic Shelter on September 6th 9-11am. In this lively game, participants learn how beak structure and shape helps species find the right food. It's as if "Hungry, Hungry, Hippos" meets "Let's Go Fishing" and the object is to be the bird with the most food of the right species. Kids and adults are encouraged to participate together. After the activity, we'll go on a short scavenger hunt/nature walk through the park. Participants must be 5 years of age or older and registered for the event. There will be a special activity for the littles 4 and under, no registration required.
